Playing with Words premiered at the "stunningly beautiful" (NBC) Monet's Garden: The Immersive Experience in two sold-out shows in New York City. Moving seamlessly through styles from impressionism to jazz and beyond, this piano-meets-poetry program fuses fascinating piano techniques and improvisation with storytelling and poetry. Using the works of poets like Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, and Marceline Desbordes-Valmore as frameworks of improvisation, Nicole narrates the vivid poems aloud while improvising in real time, creating a shared electric and connective energy with audiences.
