Impressions

In a concert that's equally elegant, electric, and explorative, husband-wife duo Greg Hammontree (jazz trumpet) and Nicole Brancato (classical piano) take timeless pieces of Jazz and Classical music in transcendent new directions.

The couple invites audiences into their love of music, expression, and togetherness, and goes beyond genre to capture the beautiful inner workings of music itself. Titled Impressions — referencing both Debussy and Coltrane the performance combines virtuosic improvisations, inventive new compositions, and reimagined favorites from both musical traditions.

In addition to their artistic work, Nicole ang Greg committed to education and empowering next generations. They’ve delivered educational workshops around creativity, improvisation, and entrepreneurship at institutions like the Gesellschaftshaus Magdeburg (Germany); Lunigiana International Music Festival (Italy), and dozens of universities, conservatories, and academies across North America.

Both internationally-recognized musicians with a deep history of collaborations across the arts, their shared credits include the Konzerthaus Berlin (Germany), RAI Italia (Italy), and Bellas Artes (Mexico), as well as Lincoln Center (NYC), the Blue Note (NYC), and the Banff Centre (Canada).
